Staithes - small fishing village just north of whitby is a good venue, well worth a try if you're in that area. Fish off the harbour wall or rocks for wrasse, flounder and cod (night sessions best for cod).

Method: wang out any rig with mackerel strip baits - technical stuff eh!

Note: no good if it's rained for a few days, the fresh water runs down from the cliffs and local river and the 'saltwater' fish can't handle it and take off out of casting range. :salmon:
